Dry Needling

Most of our osteopaths and our massage therapist can include dry needling in your treatment if warranted or requested. It is similar to acupuncture in that a small needle is inserted into the muscle to cause a change in the tissue. But it is not done using the traditional chinese medicine approach.

Dry needling needles will be placed in areas that have tender points or trigger points as opposed to meridian or energy lines in order to cause a localised tissue response to stimulate healing.
