With 5 osteopaths and 2 massage therapists working over 7 days you should never struggle to get an appointment at Sydney Osteopathy. If your preferred practitioner can’t see you on the day you need you can choose another practitioner for that session and return to your regular practitioner for a follow up. You can change between practitioners based on your preference or availability, at Sydney Osteopathy you aren’t bound to one practitioner.
As a young university student I was involved in a car accident, this whiplash left me with both neck and lower back pain. After seeking help from a number of Gp’s, medical specialist and allied health professionals it was osteopathy that finally gave me the relief I had been searching for. I was halfway through a biomedical science degree when this experience inspired me to redirect my health science education to osteopathic studies.
Marcus started his career in the health industry in 1997, first as a massage therapist then graduating from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Applied science and a Masters degree in osteopathy. Marcus has over 20 years of clinical experience, he uses an integrated treatment approach in osteopathy involving manual therapy, patient education, and a progressive exercise program to achieve the best results for patients recovery goals.
Colleen joined Sydney Osteopathy in 2017 after more than 30 years working as an Osteopath in Sydney and New Zealand.
She has Bachelor of Science in Anatomy & Physiology ( NZ ) that she graduated with before a further two and half year Post Graduate diploma in Osteopathy in Sydney at the International College of Osteopathy in 1989. Colleen has attended many specialized courses as such as Cranial Osteopathy in the US.
Nadia originally trained in France as an Osteopath and has now registered in Australia. Nadia has joined the team in 2017 and extended her skills by practicing massage therapy. She accumulated experience working with soft tissue, but also uses techniques such as adjustments, craniosacral, visceral and functional osteopathic techniques when appropriate.
Bruce has worked in the industry for over 35 years. Bruce has vast experience in treating all kinds of musculoskeletal injuries.
Shayne has been working as a massage therapist since 1997. She graduated from the 2 year full time massage course run by Loftus Tafe. Not many massage therapists have such extensive training as 2 years full time study. Over the past 24 years Shayne has worked alongside osteopaths, personal trainers, pilates instructors and other health professionals, in order to deliver the most positive outcomes for clients. Shayne brings the modalities of dry needling and cupping into her treatments for those it suits or request it.
